Olla เป็นภาชนะเก็บน้ำใต้ดิน ที่มีใช้มาตั้งแต่สมัยเมื่อ 4000 ปีในประเทศแถบอาฟริกาเหนือและจีน. และทุกวันนี้ก็ยังมีใช้กันในหลายๆประเทศ ทั้งที่ ตะวันออกกลาง อาฟริกา อเมริกาใต้ อินเดีย 



Olla ช่วยลดการสูญเสียน้ำ ช่วยประหยัดน้ำ โดยการที่มันจะปล่อยน้ำออกมาให้ก็ต่อเมื่อมีแรงดึงดูด (suction force) จากรากพืชที่ล้อมอยู่ด้านนอกของภาชนะที่อยู่ใต้ดิน ทำให้การใช้น้ำได้ถึง 100%
